• all methods of contraception excluding female sterilisation
• male vasectomy (Dumfries only)
• emergency contraception and emergency copper IUD
• pregnancy testing and termination of pregnancy referral
• sexual problem counselling
• management of sexual assault excluding forensics
• STI testing and treatment and partner notification. Dried Blood Spot (DBS) testing. The management of HIV is not part of SHD&G’s remit.
• hepatitis B and HPV immunisation for those at risk sexually
• post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV and Hepatitis B
• pre-exposure (PrEP) for HIV
• condoms and postal testing kits by post
• behavioural interventions using motivational interviewing techniques for sexual risk taking and alcohol
• hate crime reporting centre
